Hello, Everyone! It’s been just about a week now since the big 4th of July holiday.

Hopefully, you all had a great, relaxing time and have fully recuperated.

My time was spent at home in Maryland with my husband, close friends, and family.

We BBQ’d the whole weekend, played “bid whist”, did “the wobble”, “cupid shuffle”,

and “booty call” line dancing.  It was all Fun! Fun! Fun!

Now to get to some important news that there’s been much speculation about. I’m

sure you’ve all heard by now that when “All My Children” ends in September, I will

be moving on to “The Young & The Restless”. The press and some of my fans have

been asking me if this rumor were true for a while now. However, in this business you

don’t speak on anything until you’ve signed on the dotted line because at the last minute

negotiations can just go south. I’m very excited about joining Y& R, and already

have relationships with a few of the actors over there. And after playing Dr.

Angela Hubbard on and off for over twenty-five plus years, I’m ready to step into

a new pair of shoes.

As we get closer to my joining the show, which won’t be until September, I will fill

you in on who and what my new character is. But for those who have speculated

about the possibility of my taking over the role of the ex- “Drucilla Winters”, played by the

wonderfully talented Victoria Rowell, I can tell you absolutely not!… No way…No how!

Ms. Rowell has put her stamp on the role of Drucilla, and I know her fans would be

outraged to see me or any other actress come in and try to take her place. I wouldn’t

even attempt to go there. As far as I’m concerned Victoria Rowell is simply irreplaceable

as “Drucilla”.

But I am terribly excited about the role I will be playing and can only hope

that my devoted fans who have followed my career as “Angie” all these years, as well

as many of the other roles I’ve played outside of daytime, will take this new journey

along with me!

You’ve done an incredible job playing Angie Hubbard with such depth, passion & complexity, & I’m excited about seeing you take on a new role and a new context. Best wishes and good luck with the transition. Of course I’ll be watching you on Y&R. XOXO

Miss Debbi. I cannot wait to take that journey with you. My father is a big fan of Y/R and I am a big fan of yours. I used to be till they killed off Dru and made Eddie Winslow the Malcom. lol I can’t wait to see you in your new role. As well you did with Angie Hubbard, we all know you will bring your best.

P.S. Stop charming David! That man is up to no good! LOL

So happy for you! Just recently started watching Y&R since AMC is ending. Rumors are that it’s not ending at all. What will happen to Jesse without you there. Can you take on the 2 jobs?

    Ms. Debbi Morgan,

You are, in my humble opinion, the BEST actress on All My Children.

It’s truly shameful that TPTB didn’t utilize you, Darnell and Cornelius to the fullest. We on Twitter like to call you all #teamhubbards. Your return to the show in 2008 was truly hopeful bright spot in the show and outside of your time off for illness, you all should have continue to LEAD/DRIVE story.

I was happy/encouraged when you and Darnell received story last year. You, Ms. Morgan, do what some bloggers/critics call ‘turn shizz to sugar’. You and Darnell do more with limited material than most people do in months and monts of story.

I will scream it from the rooftops until next years Emmys, you were robbed and should have walked away with the Lead Actress trophy on Emmy night but politics, politics! You turned the writers lemonade into fine wine in 2010 with Angie’s blindness and pregnancy story.

I am a fan of the ABC soaps since childhood and was sadden that the network chose to end AMC run but I’ll proudly show support to YR and your new character when you come on in September.

I’m so looking forward to seeing you bring something amazing to Y & R, they could use some good acting and I know you will deliver, although Angie will be missed I know you will do your new character justice, wishing you the best!!!

    Ms. Debbi Morgan,
What the FUCK?! Excuse my French, but I’m sad to hear that you’re leaving AMC. I’ve been fan of yours since Eve’s Bayou & just like Charmed I started watching AMC because of YOU! My entire family has been watching the show since it started. I however me being only 21 I thought it was for old people & I would suck my teeth & roll my eyes every weekday at 1 when it came on. If I knew then what I know now lol. The show is awesome! I hate some characters & believe it or not Erica Kane is one of them haha she sucks but anywho lol last year
I sat & watched because my mom said you were in it. I only watch the episodes the Hubbards are in. I know it’s been 25yrs for you but my time just started. & I don’t want to see the Hubbards go. I even wrote to ABC suggesting a spin-off of just the Hubbards (yes I’m that pressed). Guess that’s not going to happen ): I’m still going to watch you on Y&R, because even though I’m a huge fan of Angela Hubbard I’m even more of fan of you as an actress. So I KNOW you’re going to kill on that show. Good Luck w/ everything. (:
P.S AMC better not even think about replacing you w/ some unworthy (& they’re all unworthy as far as I’m concerned). When you leave so does the character. I don’t want to see Jesse w/ another love interest so I hope he’s ready to take on the single dad role FOR LIFE lol.

    Ms Morgan,

I just wanted to stop by and wish you well on your move to Y&R. You are a great actress and in my opinion one of the most underrated actresses in the business. God bless you in all that you.

    Ms. Debbi Morgan,

I have been a fan of yours for so long. I remember watching the young Angie & Jesse on AMC when I was a young girl. I’m not that much younger than you so watching your character grow to become a successful and watching a black actress in that role was inspiring.

You know how you can tell good acting? Back in the day when Jesse cheated on Angie, I started to dislike the actor for a while. When Angie wouldn’t forgive Jesse when that one lady (can’t remember her name, although I’ve seen her on other programs and she is a wonderful actress) set him up, I was mad at you for not believing him.

My point is that as loyal fans, your character’s world becomes a part of our world. And we are blessed to the opportunity to enjoy you share your wonderful talent.

I’m a long time Y&R fan. Although the storylines lately have not been the strongest, the talented actors/esses do the best with what they have to work with to keep us loyal fans watching.

My hope is that you are given the role of an intelligent, strong woman and that you as an intelligent and strong actress will not fall into the “sex-opera” that Y&R has become. As a daytime veteran, I hope that you are able to help the writers of Y&R see that the drama and scandal that we, the fans seek from soap operas does not always have to be careless, thoughtless, loveless and irresponsible sex for every character on our favorite shows.

Congrats to you on your new journey and trust that your loyal fans will be following you and will continue support you in all that you do!
